ONLINE WELLBEING SERVICE I currently offer an Online Wellbeing Call Service which is on offer to those who experience limited access to regular therapy due to the limitations of their chronic health condition. The service is available to those who are mostly bed or house bound due to their health (please do not schedule a session for this service if you do not have a chronic or limiting health condition). If you would like to access the Online Wellbeing Call Service please schedule an Online Assessment first. This will allow me to assess your needs and how well you may benefit from the service, but also assess and risk (if you have not had an assessment and you book an Online Wellbeing Session, your session will be cancelled). PLEASE BOOK THE FULL 120 MINUTE ASSESSMENT EVEN IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPLIT THIS TIME OVER SEVERAL DAYS OR WEEKS. WE CAN DISSCUSS FOLLOWING ASSESSMENT APPOINTMENTS DURING OUR FIRST MEETING. The Online Wellbeing Service is available to book up to 12 hours in advance to allow to you work within your limitations. Very often with chronic health conditions, individuals experience a fluctuation of symptoms which can make it difficult to book appointments such as emotional support services. I hope that by making an online service available within 12 hours, you may be able to access this support with more ease (please do not book later than this time frame).

 Psychotherapy does not offer a 'quick fix'. Emotional pain and suffering is real and the states of mind associated with mental pain are often enduring and debilitating, affecting your relationships, how you function at work, and how you organise your life day-to-day. Psychodynamic psychotherapy looks at your problems in great depth. It is a therapeutic approach that takes your mind and your experience as the focus of exploration and investigation.

Initial Consultation Making the decision to start therapy may feel difficult for some people. You may not be sure this is right for you and you may have questions about what therapy is like. Finding a therapist that you feel comfortable sharing your difficulties with is important. This is why we first meet for one or two sessions for the Initial Consultation. The Initial Consultation is an opportunity for you to meet me and get a sense of what therapy is like. You will have the opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to achieve through our work together and we will discuss together whether weekly psychotherapy sessions can be helpful to you, or whether a different kind of help would be more beneficial. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions or share any concerns you have about starting therapy. During the Initial Consultation I will also gather some information from you such as contact details, brief family history, illnesses (mental or physical) history, current medication, and we will talk about the practicalities of therapy (confidentiality, payment, missed sessions etc.). Ongoing sessions If we decide to start therapy, we would then agree a set day and time and meet every week. I have extensive experience of working with Adult Survivors of Childhood sexual abuse. I have worked in a prison with drug dependency. I have counselled women who have been tortured, trafficked and who have suffered domestic violence. My current focus is in working with couples because I have come to believe that if the couple nucleus works well, ultimately, we can create better societies. I believe that therapy is an adventure into the realms of feelings, thoughts and emotions, in other words a journey into our inner selves, where we can meet the best and worst of ourselves, but finally discover self-acceptance and even love.
