    Counsellor & Psychotherapist

    Deakins Walk, S10 3GN

Whether you're are feeling stuck in life, experiencing anxiety or depression or perhaps struggling with relationship issues that can't be resolved, the good news is that these are common issues that counselling can help with. I am an integrative counsellor and Psychotherapist and I use the three main proven approaches used within counselling - psychodynamic, person-centred (sometimes referred to as humanistic) and cognitive-behavioural. This gives you more choice and, in turn, creates the flexibility to flow with the different ways to move towards your personal goals. I work with individuals and couples. I have received training at the Tavistock to work with couples with relationship difficulties as well as couples who are looking to strengthen their relationship. I have experience working in the fields of trauma, sexual abuse, depression and anxiety and problem gambling.Counselling sessions are provided in a confidential, pleasant setting in Ranmoor, S10. I abide by the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Get in touch I offer a free telephone consultation - to arrange this drop me a line via email [email protected] or text/phone 07764945011.

    Counsellor

    Pure Physiotherapy, S62 6ES

Hello, I'm Tricia and I work as a Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and EFT Practitioner in Rotherham. My therapy room is based in Parkgate, which is easily accessible by public transport and free parking is available. Walking therapy sessions are also available, please contact me for further details. I offer a safe and confidential space to help you explore your thoughts and feelings. My aim is to help you achieve your true potential and to live the life you desire. Seeing my clients grow, develop and become empowered during the time we work together is so rewarding. I'm a Person-Centred Counsellor, which means I work in conjunction with you to discover the way forward, rather than tell you or give advice. Also, I don't tell you what to talk about in our sessions - it's up to you to decide what you want to focus on and work through, always going at a pace that suits you. Clients sometimes ask how many sessions they should book, but everyone is different so rather than offer set sessions, we can review it together as you progress. I can help you rediscover the joy of life

    Counsellor & Psychotherapist

    38 Chapel Street

I am an integrative counsellor, based in South Yorkshire with experience of counselling for anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, men's issues, relationship problems etc. My aim is to offer genuine empathy and warmth so you feel safe and free to talk about whatever you choose in confidentiality. I hope to support you to work through whatever troubles you so that you see things in a different light. I understand how difficult it is to overcome the sense of shame and stigma attached to coming for therapy, and particularly from a male perspective how one is supposed to manage your own emotions, i.e. bury them. However, 'nothing will change unless you change something', so if you are suffering, come and let's do something positive about it.

    Psychotherapist

    Halcyon Approach, S42 6NL

I provide non-judgemental, professional and affordable counselling/psychotherapy. I am deeply committed to the belief that psychotherapy/counselling should be centred with the viewpoint and preference of the client, rather than the service defining and becoming directive to the client(s). My main theoretical approach is Person Centred and as a Person-Centred therapist, the relationship is one of trust, placing the trust in clients to develop personally and trusting their experiences. The unspoken bond within the therapeutic relationship is, I trust you and you can trust me, allowing a relationship built on openness and a safe platform to explore your emotions. I offer a warm and natural, as well as a professional welcome. Your enquiry will be confidential from the first point of contact. Maintaining confidentiality is a matter of contracted agreement as well as being a matter of constant regard for the trust that is embedded into my practice. Your rights are protected in accordance with my ethical framework and the data protection act 1998. The Therapy Furthermore, remaining true to the values and principles of Person-Centred Therapy, where it is helpful and meaningful to you, I will draw upon the techniques of other approaches. Within life we each prefer to approach a task, or to resolve an issue in a certain way, so why should this not be true within counselling/psychotherapy. Equality and diversity are at the core of my counselling approach and service, with the belief that respect for the individual human being you are, is paramount within our work. I am aware that talking about mental health and wellbeing, or discussing personal issues may seem daunting. Often we can feel that we will be negatively judged, or misunderstood. I am here to work with you, to understand and to value your thoughts and feelings in the way that they are important to you. It may also be that thoughts and feelings may seem unclear or too complex to put into words. I recognise that we each, as individuals, require an environment in which we feel sufficiently safe and positively valued to begin to explore what we think and feel, in a way and at a pace that is positive and meaningful to us. in order to ascertain that we can work together, I offer a free of charge initial session, where we can see how and if we can work together, it is as important as the modality of the therapy, that you are with the right therapist for you. I understand that modern living and circumstance may make accessing counselling difficult. I am therefore, wherever possible, happy to accommodate your needs and preferences, including, evening and weekend appointment. I hope this brief intro has helped to begin to answer the questions that you may have about the counselling and psychotherapy I provide. I am qualified to degree level in Psychotherapy/Counselling and hold a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and Masters in Psychology. The background in Psychology gives me an in depth knowledge of mental health issues and an overview of research within all theoretical orientations. I also have a level 7 clinical supervision qualification. I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited/Registered member. I am also a member of the BPS (British Psychological Society) These memberships ensure that I am working in your best interest and I am accountable within my practice. I hold an advanced criminal records bureau disclosure and I am appropriately insured for my practice. I have 19 years counselling experience working in a variety of settings, in sexual health at the Community Action On Sexual Health, with substance misuse/ addiction at Derbyshire Alcohol Advice Service, and in private practice since April 2013, where I have worked with couples and an array of individuals. The work I undertook at the CASH project has given me an in depth knowledge of working with LGBTQI community. Accredited register membership British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Michael
I came into this profession because I eventually realised I was a natural listener and someone who others felt safe with. Looking back now I feel that I was born for this work. I have worked since 2016 as an occupational health counsellor with the NHS where I have mainly been helping people overcome their problems with the aim of helping them stay in work. I have also worked in a local domestic abuse charity since 2016, helping people overcome the effects of often years of controlling behaviour and the low self-esteem that usually accompanies domestic abuse and bullying.
